1882 STEIN MARRIAGE
The following Morning Journal article is reference to Miguella's first marriage to Max Stein in 1882. Max Stein was the father of Emma Stein-Yott and Edy Stein. Max died in El Paso, TX, 1891

- The marriage of Max Stein and Miss M. Post occured at the residence of the bride's parents last evening. After the ceremony a pleasant evening was passed by the invited guests of the bride and groom. In common with many friends of the young couple, the JOURNAL extends congratulations.

1897 BOTTGER MARRIAGE
The following is a translation for the Spanish record of marriage below. Note that Miguela García-Post is named herein as Miguela Baca and that Thomas Post is not indicated as her father. This may be the result of Gertrudes García having been in a Baca marriage preceeding the Post marriage, or the result of Miguela having been an illigitimate child of a Mr. Baca. These probabilites are in the process of being researched. In this case, Miguela was only a step-daughter of Thomas Post. Note also that the original statement promising to raise future children as Catholic as signed by Charles Bottger, is written in English so that he would understand what was signed.
